| Sumario: | The aim of this article is to analyze the performance of the Republican Adela Dueñas during the Spanish Civil War. From a historical and historiographical point of view, we approach his marriage with the Paraguayan Brigadier Víctor Martínez, the flight to the Pyrenees Atlantiques, the hospitalization of Martínez in the Concentration Camp of Gurs, and the couple's flight to South America through diplomatic collaboration international. The interviews with daughter of Martínez and Dueñas, Mariadela, allow us to approach the arrival of their parents to Asuncion in 1940, and the family exile in Argentina from 1945 to democratically assume as president the military Juan Domingo Perón. |
