Sumario:In this article we present a theoretical and reflexive analysis of educational ethnography that focuses on the study of/with indigenous youth. Were cover different Latin American inquiries paying attention to how this population sector is questioned, analyzed and described in various scenarios. To do this, we seek to account for the importance of ethnography as a deep and significant process of theoretical and methodological reflection that promotes collaborative research practices in the production of knowledge and reflexivity in dialogue with the actors involved. In this way, we consider that the participation of indigenous youth in the investigative process gives rise to the opening of cultural, political and ethical horizons for the understanding of contextualized and situated practices. Thus, it is necessary to think of this population sector according to the social meanings in what is produced, in and between the discourses and practices through which they circulate, which, by definition, are inherently open, changing and undefined.
