Sumario:Publications and use of hybrid systems in education have increased during the last ten years. This growing field of practice might be analyzed to increase our knowledge and improve present and future experiences. We present a study of 245 academic journal’s papers with ‘blended learning’ in the title. The main results, supporting the descriptive statistical analysis, are related to the cluster analyses. It was pointed out three distinguish groups of publications around their most important properties picturing general tendencies: the diversity of papers; the focus on communicational media; and the focus on educational practice. In conclusion, blended learning papers showed a practical educational activity more than a separated object of research revealing itas a growing construction field.
