description This work presents an approach to the travelling accounts along the Viceroyalty of Perú, from a viewpoint that considers analyzes the conditions which fostered its appearance in the framework of the metropolitan policies of the 16 th century. Therefore, this report should be taken as one of the various practices related to the colonial order. In addition, it proposes a characterization of this order according to the specific discoursive frames at the moment of production. He outstanding coincidences which can be perceived between this kind of account and other writings which aimed at giving information about the Indies, are a proof of a common descriptive appreciation which appears, according to our hypothesis, the third decade of the 16 th C. and continues until the end of the 18 th C. The descriptive model that pervades this outlook is evident in the questionnaires that gave origin to the Geographic Relations of the Indies. He approach to the travelling accounts of fray Reginaldo de Lizárraga and fray Diego de Ocaña allows the identification of the recurrent elements along the lines above mentioned and the possibility to show the differences that emerge in them due to the positions of the ?criollo? and the metropolitan at the beginning of the 17 th C.
