Sumario:The article sets out to analyze the process of globalization and its impact and inferences for the state, the sovereignty and the Armed Forces, as categories and orders. It is analyzzed the traditional role the state and the Armed Forces have had and their reframing within the globalization. the author approaches to legal changes that the armed Forces experimented in Venezuela starting from 1998 as a result of the triumph of president Hugo Chávez and the Bolivariana Constitution of 1999. Both events are political marks that affect the conception of the Armed Forces in that country.
