Procurando evitar a reafirmação de teorias sobre minorias que constróem identidades rígidas e reducionistas, reiterando os clássicos contrastes como dominador–dominado, mesmo–outro, inclusão–exclusão, procuro, neste trabalho, analisar a obra de Luiz Alberto Mendes, Memórias de um sobrevivente, à luz das teorias contemporâneas sobre identidades e formação do sujeito como um produtor de conhecimento e como um indivíduo politicamente participante. Social science has been giving special attention to “memorialist genres” as sources of knowledge about the construction of identities in present days. In our analysis of the work of Luiz Alberto Mendes, Memórias de um Sobrevivente (Memories of a Survivor), we try not to reaffirm the teories about minorities that build rigid and reductionist identities as the classical contrasts such as dominant–dominated, same–other, inclusion–exclusion can prove. This work aims at an analysis of Memorias de um Sobrevivente based on contemporary theories about identities and the formation of the subject-agent as a producer of knowledge and as a politically active person. |
