Futurist manifestos in Portuguese: reflections on an absence

In the light of the paucity of futuristic texts in Portuguese, this paper discusses the small number of futuristic works translated in Brazil, taking into consideration the reflections of Terry Eagleton, Lawrence Venuti and others.
