| Sumario: | This work aims towards the resulting analysis after testimonies of a Haitian population upon its arrival, between June and November 2016, to the US/Mexico Border city of Tijuana, Mexico, proceeding from Brazil. The main objective, in learning Haitian’s South and Central American trajectories by migration strategies, is knowing about their followed journeys to the Mexican Northern Borders. The theoretical framework to the analysis in this work regards the transit trajectories, which are conceived as actions or decisions, in this case that the Haitian migrants, make avoiding obstacles and dangers undergone with migratory journeys. One of key findings from this 2016 analyzed phenomenon was that the Haitian community from South America towards the US took up social media as an effective resource. Mainly friends, relatives, and networks to get assistance guiding them throughout their final destiny, as well as their intermediate geographical points, over which specially the Whatsapp app played the main connection CIT resource. |
