Sumario:The objective of this essay is to analyze the relationship between the nationalist pronouncements in Ecuador, Peru and Bolivia, and the debate center on European evolutionism at the end of the 19th and 20th centuries. The essay, introductory in nature, presents some aspects of the recent debate on the genealogic discourse of nationalism as well as some important bibliographic references concerning these issues.
