Sumario:Source of material: The title compound was prepared by reaction of methyl 3,5-di-0-benzyl-2,3-dideoxy-D-ribofuranoside with hydrogentriphenylphosphonium tetrafluoroborate in acetonitrile. The precipitated phosphonium salt was recrystallized from tetrachloromethane/dichloromethane. One tetrachloromethane solvent molecule per asymmetric unit was found. This solvent molecule was strongly disordered.
