Spectral classification of V CrA and Y Mus
Low-dispersion spectra of V CrA and Y Mus are described with some detail. They correspond to hydrogen deficient carbon stars, according to their membership to the R CrB-type variable group. | Sumario: | Low-dispersion spectra of V CrA and Y Mus are described with some detail. They correspond to hydrogen deficient carbon stars, according to their membership to the R CrB-type variable group. These spectra are classified in the C-system of Keenan and Morgan (1941), following the procedure of Yamashita(1967). It was found that V CrA and Y Mus are C1,2 and C1,0 respectively. The temperatures derived are in agreement with other determinations. |
