Sumario:In the present work it is investigated the magnetic luminosity produced by Kerr black holes in active galactic nuclei (AGNs). Some comparison is made between the results for some black hole masses with spins in the range 0:44 < a < 0:80 and the upper limit of ultra high energy cosmic ray (UHECR) luminosities, calculated from observed integral flux of GeV-TeV gamma rays for nine UHECR AGN candidates with the same masses considered theoretically. We find that the calculated theoretical range of magnetic luminosities from AGNs coincides with the calculated UHECR luminosity. It is argued that this result can possibly shed some light in the phenomenology of AGN magnetic properties in manner to explain some of the requisite conditions to proper accelerate the highest energy cosmic rays.
