| Sumario: | The different adaptative morphological features of phoretic mites are described and illustrated by means of Scanning Electron micrographs. The spatial distribution of Sennertia splendidulae Alzuet and Abrahamovich, 1988, S. longipilis Alzuet and Abrahamovich, 1988, Horstia major Alzuet and Abrahamovich, 1988, in several well defined acarinaria located on the body surface of the carpenter bee Xylocopa (S.) splendidula Lepeletier, 1841 was analyzed.
