Sumario:This paper presents a refl ection about the theoretical and methodological approach on the construction of a history of the territory. This spatial point of view is characteristic of the disciplines related to the architecture and urban studies. Therefore, the territory is defi ned as a cultural object, but also as a way to understand spatial history, beyond the classic approach to rural and urban contexts in a separated way. As an example of this proposed approach, we show some examples on a graphic narrative on the construction of the territory. The selected case study is a central sector in the Province of Buenos Airesand its conformation along 19th century. This graphics relate three main variables of analysis: physical form, settlements and networks, in some interpretative readings, that allow us to observe the spatial development of the historical phenomena.
