| Sumario: | In october 2013, an adult specimen of Stenocercus guentheri presenting kyphosis and scoliosis was collected at the parish of Tababela, Quito, on the dry scrub ecosystem of an Interandino valley. The specimen presented severe deformation of the cervical, lumbar and caudal regions; however, it did not present difficulties to mobilize or fleeing from predators. This finding is the first report of kyphoscoliosis in a lizard endemic to Ecuador. |
