| Sumario: | In recent decades a process of devaluation of products and traditional areas such as sun and beach destinations has been developed and, simultaneously, alternative products are created and valued. The destinations incorporate new attractions to maintain the interest of tourists. Pehuen Có is a resort that has a variety of attractions of which the beach stands out and paleontological tourism is taking center stage. The objective of this paper is to analyze the current tourist situation of Pehuen Có in order to know the strengths and opportunities it has regarding tourism and propose proposals that can contribute to the diversification of its offer. Methodologically, a bibliographic review of relevant concepts and a fieldwork will be carried out to compile an inventory and hierarchy of existing tourism resources and conduct interviews with key informants. The results show that the town has possibilities to diversify its tourist activity. |
