We study the relationships between the animalization mechanisms and the monstrous representations in the context of the characterization of Hecuba as a woman whose vindictive desires lead to an infanticide. This analysis poses the hypothesis by which the character's metamorphosis can be conceived as a synecdoche of the Scylla monster. |
