Sumario:The article argues that in Latin American countries it is necessary a conventionalization of Administrative Law: a process of re-reading the institutes of this legal branch in light of the content of human rights treaties and the jurisprudence of the International Courts. It examines to what extent the provisions of the American Convention on Human Rights and the case law of the Inter-American Court come to operate as sources of Administrative Law, which must be taken into account by the Public Administration and by the control bodies as a parameter for the validity of the administrative activity. It analyzes the position of the Inter-American Court’s case law according to which it is incumbent upon all national bodies and public authorities to exercise conventionality control, by verifying the compatibility of the norms of domestic law with international human rights treaties. Operational and procedural criteria are proposed for the performance of conventionality control by administrative authorities in Latin American countries.
