| Sumario: | This article presents a research whose purpose is to investigate what Chilean universities are understanding through a bidirectional approach and to characterize the impact of this understanding on the methodological proposals to relate to their relevant environments. To this end, a qualitative investigation is proposed that analyzes the content of 55 policies relating to the environment. The results allow us to distinguish a superfluous understanding of the bidirectional approach eventually conditioned by its constitution as an accreditation criterion and the pressure for external accountability. It is noted that the above would be significantly impacting the use of methodological approaches that can hardly promote fluid and horizontal dialogue between universities and their environments. |
