Sumario:This article aims to analyze one of the most significant modifications introduced in the curriculum update process of the Bachelor's Degree in Visual Communication Design, offered by the Faculty of Architecture, Design and Urbanism at the National University of the Litoral (FADU–UNL): the redefinition of the graduate profile. The analysis focuses on the incorporation of professional practice components into the new 2023 General Curriculum Plan, whose implementation began progressively with the 2025 academic year. Historically, the program did not include such instances as an integral part of academic training, despite their relevance for the development of professional competencies in the field of Visual Communication Design. Within this framework, the article examines the main guidelines of the new curriculum design, along with a theoretical overview that supports a reflection on the importance of incorporating professional practices as a core component of the educational pathway for future professionals in the discipline.
