More specifically, it focuses on the monetary example used by Cusanus, where the author presents a metaphor in which God is presented as an omnipotent mint-master, while the man is presented as a moneychanger or coin-broker. Starting from a reverse proposal, which goes from Cusanus’ gnoseology to the example, it is proposed to understand the underlying monetary conception. For a better comprehension of this conception, it has been analyzed a sermon, preached years before during his Bishopric in Brixen, as well as traced important contextual factors, and theoretical background.
