Living by the stream involves both suffering and enjoyment, a desire for relocation to escape the risk of flooding. It also encompasses the acknowledgment of inhabiting a territory self-produced by the residents themselves, which is sad to leave behind left behind. The information and narratives presented in this article derive from fieldwork conducted in the municipality since 2019, involving participant observation during territorial interventions and conducting interviews. |

En este artículo me propongo poner en diálogo al “riesgo ambiental”, como categoría ordenadora de las relocalizaciones en el marco de la política de saneamiento de la cuenca Matanza-Riachuelo, con las experiencias del habitar de los vecinos/as que vivían junto a los arroyos en el partido de Almirante Brown y que han sido recientemente relocalizados. En principio, las experiencias del habitar junto al arroyo coinciden con lo que la Autoridad de la Cuenca Matanza Riachuelo define como “riesgo ambiental”, a la vez que desbordan esta definición. La vida junto al arroyo involucra padecimiento y disfrute, el deseo de relocalizarse para no inundarse más y el reconocimiento de habitar un territorio autoproducido que se deja con tristeza. La información y los relatos que aquí presento surgen de un trabajo de campo que vengo desarrollando en dicho municipio desde el año 2019, que consiste en la observación participante en instancias de intervención territorial y en la realización de entrevistas. Neste artigo, pretendo colocar em diálogo o “risco ambiental”, como categoria ordenadora das relocações no marco da política de saneamento da bacia dos rios Matanza-Riachuelo, com as vivências dos vizinhos que viviam próximos aos córregos do território do município de Almirante Brown e foram recentemente realocados. A princípio, as experiências de morar próximo aos córregos coincidem com o que Autoridade dos rios da Bacia Matanza-Riachuelo define como “risco ambiental”, mas vão além dessa definição. A vida à beira do rio envolve sofrimento e alegria, o desejo de se mudar para não viver mais alagamentos e o reconhecimento de habitar um território autoproduzido que, infelizmente, fica para trás.
