Sumario:Organizations often choose new forms of decentralized work outside their parent companies to reduce costs in their activities. In recent years, thanks to advances in digital communication, these new forms of organization have produced, under certain circumstances, competitive advantages through the interaction of resources and decentralized capacities in different geographical areas and with various cultural aspects called “centers of services". This paper describes these new phenomena of decentralization of processes from a theoretical administrative perspective, what are their origins, characteristics, advantages and associated risks.
