Sumario:The aim of this study is to put into value the work done by the bookseller and bookbinder Pedro Martínez, with a bookstore and workshop in Madrid from the end of the eighteenth century until the first decade of the nineteenth century, at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts of San Fernando. This work was made through the consultation of the account books and other files of the Academy Archive and the analysis in situ of the bookbindings outlined in the documentation, thus getting to know better the type of bindings ordered, their prices, materials, recipients, for a better understanding of the history of the institution itself, the guild of booksellers, printers and bookbinders from Madrid and therefore from the society of that time in the city.
