Sumario:This article is part of an ethnographic research initiated at the end of 2015 (and in progress) carried out in a Closed Regime Socio-Educational Center, located in the City of Buenos Aires. Youths are detained in these institutions because they are considered by the justice system to be "offenders or alleged offenders" of criminal law in force. In this article I focus on how daily educational practices and the particular meanings that structure "education" are configured. In this paper I will address some theoretical-methodological reflections related to the particular characteristics that my labor insertion -as a teacher and socio-educational worker- in the same institutional field in which I develop my ethnographic practice imprinted to the process of knowledge construction. At the same time, I will refer to how the approach to these methodological aspects are deeply interlinked and allow us to address socio-historical processes of our recent past.
