Sumario:The international armed conflict which escalated on 24 February 2022 with the attack by the Russian Federation on Ukrainian territory has served as a factual platform in a series of cases brought before different international tribunals with personal jurisdiction over States as well as individuals. To date, the International Court of Justice, the European Court of Human Rights, and the International Criminal Court have been involved in such cases. This short paper examines the scope of the intervention of these international tribunals in order to show the way in which one dispute might be "disaggregated" and brought before various jurisdictions applying different responsibility regimes. Can the Ukrainian situation serve as a case study to examine the notion of duality of responsibilities in international law? Which is the role of the international tribunals in the determination of illegal conduct committed during armed hostilities?
