Sumario:This article analyzes the disputes to expose the practice of the enforced disappearance during the last military dictatorship in Argentina (1976-1983), examining the articulation between the strategies of registration and documentation of the facts, the procedures and know-how of the legal field and the configuration of social meanings about crimes. To this end, it addresses cases in which the human rights organizations headquarters were raided, existing documentation was seized, and arrests were made in the context of legal complaints. In these cases, this paper analyzes the reaction of the dictatorship to the actions to expose the crimes and the way in which the systematization of information became a tool in the fight against the regime. In this sense, the perspective of activism that confronts the constitutive denial of the crimes is addressed, as well as that of the bureaucratic framework and the mechanisms used to sustain said denial, promote impunity or manage the conflict in the exercise of power.
