| Sumario: | The aim of this paper is to approach an understanding of the conceptual frameworks that operate in the visual narratives present in the rock art panels (corresponding to the Late Intermediate Period) located in the Coranzulí microregion (Puna de Jujuy). We will refer to different ethnographic and ethnohistorical instances that will allow us to explore interpretive paths regarding the meanings and roles of animals in the past and present. In this regard, we will analyze three cases: two associated with late pre-Hispanic rock art and one linked to the current practice of smearing the blood of sacrificed animals on the walls of corrals. |
