We will refer to different ethnographic and ethnohistorical instances that will allow us to explore interpretive paths regarding the meanings and roles of animals in the past and present. In this regard, we will analyze three cases: two associated with late pre-Hispanic rock art and one linked to the current practice of smearing the blood of sacrificed animals on the walls of corrals. El objetivo de este trabajo es acercarnos a la comprensión de los marcos conceptuales que estarían operando en las narrativas plásticas presentes en los paneles de arte rupestre (correspondientes al Período Intermedio Tardío) emplazados en la microrregión de Coranzulí (Puna de Jujuy). Referiremos a diferentes instancias etnográficas y etnohistóricas que nos permitirán ensayar caminos interpretativos sobre los sentidos y los roles de los animales en el pasado y en el presente. En este sentido, tomaremos 3 casos de análisis: dos de ellos asociados con arte rupestre prehispánico tardío y uno vinculado a la práctica actual de embijar con sangre del animal sacrificado las paredes de los corrales. L’objectif de ce travail est de contribuer à la compréhension des cadres conceptuels susceptibles d’opérer dans les récits plastiques présents sur les panneaux d’art rupestre (correspondant à la Période Intermédiaire Tardive) situés dans la microrégion de Coranzulí (Puna de Jujuy). Nous nous référerons à différentes instances ethnographiques et ethnohistoriques qui nous permettront d’explorer des pistes interprétatives sur les significations et les rôles des animaux dans le passé et le présent. Dans cette optique, nous analyserons trois cas : deux d’entre eux liés à l’art rupestre préhispanique tardif, et un autre associé à la pratique actuelle consistant à enduire de sang de l’animal sacrifié les murs des enclos.
