Sumario:The aim of this article is to explore the ways in which the writers of the musical magazine called Correo Musical Sud-Americano were part of the dynamic production of knowledge between Latin America and Germany during the Great War I, by managing discursive strategies, thematic approaches, translations and social bonds, and based on a variety of backgrounds, traditions and ideas regarding to the German culture. The analysis focuses on the first year (1915) of the editorial project, in light of the new historiographical perspectives on the global connections of the Great War, where Latin America emerges as an attentive actor to the transformations. The research shows that, in its first two editorial times, the music of German cultural tradition is recovered in different ways, as well as the definition of what is interpreted as “Musical Americanism”. Further research of the following editorial times is needed in order to compose a processual image of their multiple links.
