Sumario:The border spaces formed on our continent as a result of the European conquest were the scene of the circulation of articles, ideas and people. Through this compilation, Sebastián Alioto aims to expose the mechanisms of said circulation in the Pan-Araucanian area, as well as the ways in which the native communities of the place incorporated foreign goods as a means of life and resistance. Emphasizing the indigenous experience, the book allows us to appreciate the long process of forming hybrid or mestizo societies, and invites us to reflect on the role of the Other in shaping them.
