This article derives from a narrative the young Mariana made to the research, recounting her biographical journey seeking to overcome the female’s subaltern condition in the face of patriarchal violence, and to conquer the social mobility that she projected for herself and her son. Mariana is also quite many: a High School student in Education of Youth and Adults, a daughter, a teenage mother, a companion and worker with quite many experiences ranging from informal jobs to the attainment of protected work. The analyzed data originate from research that matches quantitative and qualitative methodological strategies. In the qualitative scope, there was the presentation of supporting imagery devices to the narrative interview, in addition to the accomplishment of a discussion held with a group of high school students. The theoretical-methodological perspective adopted sought to start a dialogue about the understanding of the young woman’ process to conquer autonomy, without losing track of the socio-historical framework from which extend the experiences, daily life organization strategies and future projects of the character we have chosen for the discussion. O artigo descreve e interpreta o percurso biográfico de uma jovem de origem popular que sintetiza diferentes desafios existenciais e esforços de superação que articulam suportes em múltiplos espaços-tempo da vida. A jovem Mariana narra para a pesquisa que deu origem a este artigo seu percurso biográfico que busca superar a condição de subalternidade feminina diante da violência patriarcal e conquistar a mobilidade social que projetou para si e seu filho. Mariana é também muitas: estudante da Educação de Jovens e Adultos do Ensino Médio, filha, mãe adolescente, companheira e trabalhadora de muitas experiências entre a informalidade e a conquista do trabalho protegido. Os dados analisados se originam de pesquisa que combina estratégias metodológicas quantitativas e qualitativas. No âmbito qualitativo, são apresentados dispositivos imagéticos de suporte à entrevista narrativa e realização de grupo de discussão com jovens do ensino médio. A perspectiva teórico-metodológica adotada buscou colocar em diálogo a compreensão do processo de conquista da autonomia da jovem sem perder de vista o quadro sócio-histórico de onde se desdobram as experiências, estratégias de organização da vida cotidiana e projetos de futuro da personagem que elegemos para a discussão.
