Telemedicine is the practice of medicine and related activities through
communication systems, processes applied welfare, education and medical
specialties.
Objective
The experience of telemedicine in the Community Cycle Rotating Internship at the
University of Cuenca.
Methodology
This is a descriptive study about the communication system (software and
hardware) used methods of telemedicine and health personnel involved, for which
they have primary and secondary sources consulted.
Results
In a web portal presents advances in research, education modules and training
materials for staff health, undergraduate and postgraduate community as well as
statistical information, maps with georeferencing, evidence relating to maternal and
neonatal health. The process has involved 466 people who work in 8 hospitals and
2 health centers in the province of Azuay. |
