| Sumario: | The following article aims to present the different approaches, theoretical and conceptual
debates in order to account -partially-the characteristics and changes that social movements
have experienced in the context of globalization. To do this, the article is divided in here
sections: firstly, it presents different analytical perspectives in relation to the uses and meanings
of the two concepts (social movements and globalization). Secondly, it develops some of the
features they acquire, considering the discussion and analysis made by several authors in
relation to the progressive blurring of the centrality of the state. Finally, it outlines some
conclusions and open questions. |
