Sumario:Galianthe valerianoides (Spermacoceae-Rubiaceae) is recorded for the first for the Uruguayan flora (Dpto. Rivera), and as a consequence, its distribution area extends to its southernmost limit. A detailed morphological description, a distribution map in Uruguay, and photographs of the habitat are given for G. valerianoides. Also, a key to the Galianthe species present in Uruguay is provided.
