Sumario:This essay invites us to reflect on the implementation of research within the educational system as a working tool to contribute to modifying the condition of schools. It aims to mobilize Latin America towards the change that globalization presumes, however, two of the most challenging things are the problem identification and the multiplicity of function made in the educational management. Therefore, to face this condition it is necessary to improve these processes, executing allied and effective actions that develop strategies that would later come to strengthen and optimize the educational work. The conclusions reveal that educational research and reflection result in proposals for solutions to situations that limit the progress of education and allows to develop and apply skills in knowledge management, in pursuit of the transformation of educational institutions.
