This article aims to analyze the theoretical foundations of geotourism, geological heritage, and geoconservation in their articulationwith planning and management processes of geoparks in Latin America, particularly in Kütralkura UGG (Chile), Araripe UGG(Brazil), and Grutas del Palacio UGG(Uruguay). Their potential lies in redefining the relationships between conservation, education, land use and social appropriation of the territory.
