Relationship betwen obesity and adipokines with prostate cancer prevalence and aggressiveness
Recent studies indicate that adipose tissue and adipokines might promote or prevent the development of prostate cancer (PCa). Leptin would have a stimulating effect on PCa cells by inducing promotion and progession, whereas adiponectin would have a protective effect.
