Sumario: | The article analyzes the publication named “Lucha Armada”, identifying two major lines in debate: one centered on the origins of political violence, explained as the result of certain inherent characteristics of revolutionary ideologies, associated with a debate about moral responsibility, and related to a political-ideological rejection of the experiences analyzed; the other one links the origin of political violence to social conflict, and wonders about the causes of their failure, placing the discussion in terms of the political balances. This line, but maintains a critical, claims a fundamental aspect of the experiences analyzed: their willingness to transform a society considered unfair. In examining the historiographical production about released by the magazine, states that most of the work will fall on the second line, which also shows higher productivity in terms of its "explanatory power". We conclude that it is necessary to move towards the establishment of a "thematic field" in order to establish, in a comparative way, not only the productivity of the various theoretical approaches but also the political and ideological implications of the chosen approach.
