| Sumario: | The age of the Palaeogene and Neogene sequences from Cordillera de La Brea and Zancarron, Valle del Cura, San Juan Province. New data on the age of the Palaeogene and Neogene sequences cropping out in the Valle del Cura area (San Juan Province) are presented. Four radiometric ages obtained from Tobas Valle del Cura Formation suggest an Eocene to earliest Oligocène age for these rocks. Both palynologycal assemblages and radiometric dating indicate a Middle Miocene age for the upper part of the La Ollita Formation, whereas stratigraphie evidence suggests a Pliocene age for the Los Banitos Formation. © 1999 Asociacioacute;n Gcológica. |
