History dependence in the ac susceptibility of YBa2Cu3O7 single crystals

We report on marked thermomagnetic history effects in the ac susceptibility of YBa2Cu3O7 single crystals below the melting transition. We found that as the ac field front invades the sample it induces a. local annealing of the vortex lattice reducing the critical current density, Jc. As a consequenc...
