Sumario:A reinvestigation of the L X-ray-gamma angular correlations following the decay of139Ce is made by using a Si(Li) semiconductor detector as L X-ray detector. Coincidence measurements at five different angles were made between the 166-keV gamma ray and the L X-ray spectrum. The data were handled in two different ways: (i) the counts under the Ll+Lα+Lβ+Lγ peaks were taken; (ii) the counts under the Ll+Lα+Lβ peaks were only considered. Chance coincidences as well as coincidences background were taken into account. The results indicate that no anisotropy is to be found within a margin of error of 6×10-3. © 1976 Springer-Verlag.
