Electrochemical behaviour of poly-o-toluidine films in a wide range of pH
This work deals with the study of the electrochemical behaviour of poly-o-toluidine (poT) films in a wide range of pHs. Polyaniline (pAni) films were first reported to become passive ca. pH 5. Sumario: | This work deals with the study of the electrochemical behaviour of poly-o-toluidine (poT) films in a wide range of pHs. Polyaniline (pAni) films were first reported to become passive ca. pH 5. However, using microelectrodes and buffer solutions these film were shown to be electroactive up to ca. pH 9. Our results show that poT films are electroactive at pH ≤ 13: reduced films can be oxidazed no matter pH value, being the reduction process inhibited for pH ≥ 3.5. |
