Quantum instability of Minkowski spacetime
Taking into account vacuum fluctuations through a quadratic curvature term in the gravitational action, a minusuperspace model is constructed where the stability of Minkowski spacetime is analyzed. We find it to be unstable independently of the quadratic term coupling constant. © 1990.
