Excited states in Y86
High spin states in Y86 were studied through the Rb85(,3n) reaction at energies between 30 and 55 MeV, using techniques of in-beam -ray spectroscopy. Eight levels were observed on top of the J=8+ (218.3 keV) metastable state which are connected by rays in cascade and five levels decaying to the J=5-...

Sumario: | High spin states in Y86 were studied through the Rb85(,3n) reaction at energies between 30 and 55 MeV, using techniques of in-beam -ray spectroscopy. Eight levels were observed on top of the J=8+ (218.3 keV) metastable state which are connected by rays in cascade and five levels decaying to the J=5- (208.1 keV) excited state. The former were interpreted in terms of the weak coupling of the proton (1g92) and the neutron hole v-1(1g92) coupled to the Sr86 excited states on the basis of the shell model. © 1984 The American Physical Society. |
