Investigation of the nonunique first-forbidden Decay. II. Analysis of the 72- (0.581 MeV) 52+ transition in Ce141

The moments of the 72-()52+ transition from the decay of Ce141, have been extracted from the experimental data. We have obtained the following results. ir=0.980.20 fm, ×r=-1.110.35 fm, iBij=1.300.50 fm, and i=2.160.45 fm. These results are consistent with the analysis of the 72-()52+ transition in B...

Sumario:The moments of the 72-()52+ transition from the decay of Ce141, have been extracted from the experimental data. We have obtained the following results. ir=0.980.20 fm, ×r=-1.110.35 fm, iBij=1.300.50 fm, and i=2.160.45 fm. These results are consistent with the analysis of the 72-()52+ transition in Ba139 and with the measurement of the moment ir from the isobaric analog state of the ground state in Ce141 to the ground state in Pr141. We present here a discussion concerning the polarizability effects due to the charge-exchange excitation modes. © 1973 The American Physical Society.
