Understanding and enhancing second-harmonic generation from silicon nanocrystals
We show that the second-harmonic polarization of silicon nanociystals embedded in SiO2 has a nonlocal dipole form proportional to E-VE that is dramatically enhanced by using two-beam sum-frequency geometry, rather than a single-beam SHG geometry. © 2004 Optical Society of America.
