Subsequently we discussed, briefly, what they are thinking whenthere is proposed to musical culture as a concept for analysis of sources. Taking as a starting point these considerations, we made a brief tour of a potential documentary corpus to show how it is possible to investigate dimensions of musical culture through sources other than scores. The ultimate objective is to show that the musical goes beyond the ephemeral and non-transferable performance and, consequently, there are other sources to analyze the relations between music, politics and culture. El presente trabajo se propone mostrar cómo el abordaje de un heterogéneo corpus documental puede dar cuenta de las vinculaciones entre música, cultura y política. Para esto, se decidió dividir el trabajo en tres partes. En un primer momento, se señalan los aportes que la musicología y la historia de la cultura realizaron al analizar diversos objetos de estudios relacionados a la esfera musical. Posteriormente se comenta, sintéticamente, en qué se está pensando cuando se propone utilizar a la cultura musical como un concepto ordenador para el análisis de fuentes. Tomando como punto de partida estas reflexiones, se propone realizar un breve recorrido por un potencial corpus documental para mostrar cómo es posible indagar en dimensiones de la cultura musical mediante fuentes que no son partituras. El fin último reside, pues, en mostrar que lomusical va más allá de la efímera e intransferible performance y que, en consecuencia, existen otras fuentes que permiten abordar las relaciones entre música, política y cultura.
