Los del Congreso de Tucumán, published in 1916 in commemoration of the national independence centenary. With this purpose, it examines the most important theoretical and methodological aspects involved in the provincial historical production at the beginning of the twentieth century. It also explores the original interpretations of the local past that this book presented opposite the visions of the national history coming from Buenos Aires. El presente artículo procura analizar la obra de Pablo Cabrera, Universitarios de Córdoba. Los del Congreso de Tucumán, publicada en 1916 con motivo de la conmemoración del centenario de la declaración de la independencia nacional. Con este propósito, se emprende un examen de los aspectos teóricos y metodológicos más significativos involucrados en el proceso de construcción del conocimiento histórico en el ámbito provincial a comienzos del siglo XX. Asimismo, se exploran las interpretaciones originales sobre el pasado provincial que ofrecía este relato histórico local frente a las visiones de la historia nacional elaboradas desde Buenos Aires.
