I10-R288-article-384402022-08-01T13:23:42Z "Now the whole family comes to the dining room". Children's dining spaces before and during the pandemic. “Ahora viene toda la familia al comedor”. Espacios de comensalidad infantil antes y durante la pandemia Angeli, María Julia Huergo, Juliana COVID-19 sectores socio-segregados familias comensalidad niños y niñas COVID-19 socio-segregated sectors families commensality boys and girls The socio-sanitary measures adopted in the framework of the COVID-19 pandemic generated a reconfiguration of the practices of commensality of boys and girls. Mainly as a result of the closure of care and educational institutions (schools, nurseries, among others) where they received part of their daily food, as well as for the job losses, suspensions and impossibility of going out to work for the adult references with the consequent reduction in family income. The pandemic came to shake the concrete daily elements, the spaces and times of eating, by deepening the processes of collective hunger. The methodology used responds to a qualitative nature, 30 interviews were conducted with community leaders in charge of dining rooms and picnic areas from different points of the city of Córdoba, Argentina. The analysis was performed using the constant comparison method. The protection of personal data was guaranteed in accordance with law 25,326.
